The MPRB provides a wide variety of activities and facilities to meet the needs of the residents of Minneapolis. We employ nearly 600 full-time permanent employees and fill over 1,000 part-time temporary positions that may last for several days up to several months.
If you like to work outside, you might be interested in working in our Maintenance Section to help maintain our parks and facilities or in our Forestry Section to help care for our trees. Perhaps your interest is in the protection of our natural areas, garden and bodies of water, so our Environmental Operations Section would be the choice for you. If you are creative, enjoy teaching or like working with kids, you might be interested in a recreation position at one of our 49 neighborhood Recreation Centers. During the summer months, the MPRB adds several hundred seasonal employees to work with children, youth and teens in structured programs and activities.
