The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board regularly evaluates improvement needs of the city’s parkland and recreational areas and initiates projects to make the system the best it can be. In addition to its oversight of the park system’s capital improvement program, Planning and Project Management
  • manages the design and construction / rehabilitation of park facilities
  • generates long range master plans
  • facilitates citizen participation in project planning
  • coordinates creation, updating, and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan

Planning and Project Management works closely with the citizens of Minneapolis, a variety of agencies, MPRB commissioners, other elected officials, and all MPRB divisions to ensure project success.
